Candia is a beautiful landlocked village. The main road separates the village from the homonym beach. During your tour through the settlement you will see an impressive tower like house, which consists of a place of interest for the village. It is a gracious residence made of stone, familiar by the name The tower of “Aga”, since it has been the home of the “aga” of the area.
Around the area it is the most ancient settlement and behind the hill of Ag. Leousa is situated the mycenaean acropolis of Candia.

The beach of Candia is one of the prettiest of the Argolida district with dark pebble, or sand in some spots and beach trees called “almirikia”(αλμυρίκια) which have hammocks attached on them. Every summer it gathers a large number of vacationers.

While summering at Casa al Mare you can enjoy a 5 kilometres beach, having a coffee at one of the seaside coffee places.
You will get the chance to try fresh fish and local meat cooked at taverns in the village, at very low prices.
Furthermore you can have a great time at the conterminous village called “Tolo” or go for a day cruise at the islands of Ydra and Spetses.
“Enchanting” Nafplio is also a popular destination for visitors of any age.

Finally you will have the opportunity to watch unique performances at the ancient theatre of Epidavros.
